Roadtrip to Lundu Town & Sematan Beach

we weren't lost.

we weren’t lost.

Yesterday, sha and i decided to go on a road trip. It’s our second trip to Sematan and our first was with Dayang too.

On our way to Lundu

On our way to Lundu

Anywho, we started our trip after we bought KFC for lunch around 2.30pm and it took around 2 hours to get there because I promised my dad that I’ll drove 80 km/per hr.

Lunch

Actually we planned on Sugarbun but after I refuel the car, they gave me the KFC coupon. So we just go ahead and buy KFC instead.

We reached the Daerah Lundu around 4pm and went to Lundu town but we were actually looking for Pantai Pandan “Pandan Beach”. When I gave up driving around looking for a way to go there, we drove out of town and stopped by the snacks stalls before headed to Sematan Beach.

I woke up extremely early to do last minute shopping and to taste the food.

As soon as I reached the hotel, I took another shower and packed up my things. Of all the things I want to bring home, I forgot my shooting sheet and I hope that the picture Azlan took of me being a sharp shooter are clear. Then again, I did use a sniper!

The flight was delayed awhile and we did waste our time at the airport. Trust me that there’s nothing at the airport, I just sat and listen to my songs to avoid feeling like a ching chong *i just made that up*.

Oh! Kuching awaits!

Day 3: Out Run My Gun – Krabi, Thailand

I have no idea why I wake up early on a holiday and wakes up late on a working day. Susan and I received a wake up call from Terry from the Lobby asking if we had our breakfast yet. Today was a free day and if I’ve known it earlier I would organize the cliff jumping trip. I guess it’s partly my fault because I didn’t ask what’s the plan for the day.

I had street breakfast. AWesomeee! Pancake I tell ya!

When we reached the hotel, we realized that we haven’t had lunch. So, all of us went back inside the big tuk tuk and went for lunch. I bought a waterproof camera but it was too late, the island hoping was the day before *getting ready for KK trip*.

Day 2 : Island in the sun – Krabi, Thailand

I was so excited for today. It’s the day I went Island Hopping. In other words, I get to crossed out one of the things from my bucket list.

The day started with all of us waiting for the shuttle bus transporting us to the Ao Nang beach and as soon as I stepped out of my room, I was feeling sticky. We were so excited!

After that we went to Tub Island, I was so excited I asked my colleagues and boss, “why are you sitting under the shades when you can see the school of fishes swimming in the sea?” Terry just gave me “what the” expression and I said, “Sorry, I’m just so excited. Whatever I go swim first”

After spending about 2 hours swimming, I was damn exhausted because I swam to the nearest island  and got back to the boat quite late because next activity would be snorkeling, it’s 5 minutes away from the Tub Island. At this point, I was really exhausted, I was really hungry and feels like vomiting BUT it was snorkeling!! I need to do it because it’s in my bucket list too and so I’ve crossed that out from my list.

We were given 45 minutes to snorkel around the area but I only spent around 20 minutes snorkelling around and enjoying myself. Then, we passed by the third island, which is;

After a few debate on what the Chicken Island looks like we went to an island, which takes about 10 minutes from the Chicken Island for lunch.

Actually the place where we had our lunch was an Island near Tub Island where I swam to before we went snorkelling and I was a bit “What the fuck” because we were only given an hour and a half at the Tub Island but I went to the island where I do know what’s the name but in the end, after snorkelling we had lunch there. It was crazy tiring when I had to swim and ran back to Tub island earlier on. Our dessert was served on the boat and of course, I was even happier!

We spent about an hour on Poda Island, went back to Ao Nang beach and took the Songthaew to the hotel. As soon as I reached my room, took a shower and everything, my head landed on the pillow and I slept throughout the afternoon. When I wake up it was time for dinner, tonight we went to the hotel restaurant.

After walking around for quite awhile, everyone was at the beach setting up their lantern and so I joined. It was that time of the year where they would fly the lantern, before flying the lantern, we were supposed to write our wishes on the lantern. There were a few other people flying the lantern at the beach that night and the view was just awesome!

We started our journey at 9.20am at Kuching International Airport, where all of us gathered and excited to go. It’s a company trip, my first company trip and I was so nervous thinking going on a trip with people other than my own family and cousins.

Then, when we arrived in LCCT KL, the first thing we all thought of was food and I had Nasi Ayam as my breakfast and lunch at the Taste of Asia. I did managed to grab Boost Mango Tango. Naice!! But the one in Perth would taste better though.

A WICKED Weekend in Singapore

On the 18th February 2012, Nadya and I went to Singapore to watch WICKED; the broadway musical. So, okay, I shed a tear during the second part and that was because Fiyero was turned into a scarecrow, just when Elphaba and him got together.

Elphaba & Glinda to the Emerald CIty

It was awesome and everyone should fly to Singapore to watch it, check out the Marina Bay Sands Theater for more details.

We arrived around afternoon and we just roamed around Orchard road. I was so excited for Ben & Jerry’s but the parlour closed down. Do you know how devastated I was? It was one of my reason to go to Singapore, to eat my favourite ice cream. Then again, I can always find them in tubs at 7-eleven there.

We were damn hungry when we arrived and Alston told me to go to Marche to try the Salmon Crepes. Guess what happened? We didn’t find the place, Alston and I argued about the direction. When I called him he said it was behind Lucky Plaza and in his whatsapp messsage, it’s behind the building opposite Lucky Plaza (which is Paragon and I was there) and near to the Orchard Central (near the Orchard Central is the 313 bldg). Knowing that both of us won’t back down on this matter, I just replied to him in Bahasa Sarawak saying, “Malas nok kelayi eh. Klak jak carik gk” That sentence ended the miscommunication, to tell the truth I am getting weary of little miscommunication like that.

Then we take our breakfast and lunch at the food court, it was quite nice though, the fried oyster. Oh I miss Perth’s chilli mussels.

We SUITED UP for the show because from the past experience we went there for Lion King The Musical, everyone suited up. While we were at Orchard, Dya was looking for something to wear too and I told her that I brought a dress already.

During the 15 minutes break of the show, there queue to buy drinks were so long that we decided to just take picture of the environment and it feels incredibly awesome. lol. I really love the environment and I just can’t stop saying it.

I’ll just flash forward to after the show ends, when we were hungry, don’t know where to eat and was roaming around Marina Bay going into a few shops that are still open. In the end, we went back and walked to Arab St to buy some stuff. On our way back to the hotel, I was feeling a tiny bit hyper, so I asked, “Dya, I’m hyper, can I talk to him?” She replied, “No, don’t talk to him, don’t be too friendly to strangers” I giggled and laughed a few times as she told me not to talk to him or asked him where I can find a place to eat at this hour. It was kind of funny because we both kept quiet when he started to drive like someone is after his car. We made an assumption that he’s young but he got to work and so he’s missing out on a Saturday night with his friends.

On sunday, we woke up early to go to Mustapha Center, a place where I don’t really like to go because of my midnight experience there. It was my first time going back there after 4/5 years. I went there to buy perfume for my friend and Dya bought a few packets of Hershey’s kisses.

Then, we went to Orchard Road to look for a few more things…but we decided to have breakfast before we go on and we went to Coffee Club, we ordered CHORIZO but the reason we ordered that because the scrambled eggs, toast and the chicken pattie. but not knowing what CHORIZO is, we ordered. Dya asked if the chicken patty contains pork and the waitress said no but the mushroom and chorizo is read this from wikipedia After the waitress apologized for her mistake, in which Dya and I doesn’t even think that it was her fault but she said sorry anyways. I LOVE SINGAPORE. My guilty feeling only lasts for 5 minutes after she apologized for nothing but Dya felt guilty, the waitress even said that it won’t be charged to us. Yeay!

In the end, we had Smoked salmon Bagel . It was quite nice too but I’m not fond of raw food that much but I can eat sushi. hehe. By the time we hit the airport, I was sort of sick and I almost puked so I limit my hyperness and food intake. haha

Weekend Get away to the unknown……Sematan

It was a very random getaway. We started our journey around 1pm and got lost on the way. I went to Sematan with Sha & Dyg, usually we went there with other people as in someone drove us there but this time, we went there on our own and we don’t exactly know how to get there. Therefore, LOST was the unavoidable incident to be expected

And we had fun on our random weekend trip.

Weekend, A Day In The City.

Oh it’s that time again but it’s just over the South China Sea and so, I went to KL city with Nadya (Dya), Azzrina (Ina) & Affiza (Fiza).

I went to KL on the 12th November, it was for…I don’t have any reason to be there but to just walk around & eat! I booked the first flight out of Kuching on a Saturday morning. It was my mistake, I was supposed to booked the second flight out but was to caught up talking to the MAS guy, I forgot the time that I was supposed to booked. Mind you the flight was at 6am and the night before was Imping’s tekul, I even made it to Alston’s house to hand him his present: The black book & the classic cars.

So, I drove myself to the airport and I feel happy & sleepy but more to happy because there’s no fucktard drivers around. It was a smooth sailing drive to the airport and I made it on time, went straight to board the plane. I love it when I don’t need to wait in line or anything.

The Road That Was Taken

The Road That Was Taken

I walked to the apartment as it was 5 minutes walk from KL Central and it was quite a long train ride because the other train was having rail troubles. When I reached the apartment I said, “Assalamualaikum” all over the apartment just for the sake of it. I wanted to sleep in the room but after careful consideration I decided to sleep in the living room, infront of the TV as it felt more safer.

Didn’t realized when Dya, Ina & Fiza called when they arrived at the apartment, I felt asleep around 9 plus am and Dya went to her dental appointment. Whilst the three of us were at home, Fiza was ironing uncle’s clothes, Ina was making hot drinks & I ate a delicious ice cream *You can’t find it in Kuching*:

We went to KLCC first, two mothers went to buy clothes for their toddlers. Seriously, it made me want to have a baby so that I can dress them up wearing whatever I want them too. Hahaha *evil laugh* But when I look at the stroller and such, it made me realized that Kids in the future are going to be damn expensive. SERIOUSLY DAMN EXPENSIVE. I’m going to move into the jungle and send them to Pondok school, save some money and send them overseas for their higher education. Haha. We pit-stopped at Bijoux and I had the melting moment *it’s supposed to melt in the mouth but it didn’t*;

Then, we head to the airport around 9pm and SLEEP, when I arrived!!

Disgusting story from the trip:

We were at Dorothy Perkins Pavilion and Dya was infront of the store when she saw a couple was doing some serious PDA. As in, the girl were sitting on top of the guy while his arms were around her…Okay, if this were the only thing that’s happening we wouldn’t care. Mind you they are malays. haha. Where were the JAKIM when this happened?

Back to my story, his arms were around her while his hands were fondling her boobs like in public, are you fo-shizzle?  I told Dya, “They should just go get a room,” and Dya said, “No, they better go home, SEPARATELY, go back to their own home”. He was like also bouncing her on his lap, you have no idea how big the girl is, you practically can’t see the guy. I understand that love surpasses all these physical thing but girl, seriously, where’s your dignity? How could you let the guy do that to you in public?

They were also doing in while there were a family sitting next to them. You’re in an open space, I know people shouldn’t care and just mind their own business but seriously, we’re going to call ourselves a muslim country while projecting all these images towards all the foreigners. You must be fucking kidding me.

Enough crapping.

Later days,

A Weekend @ the beach

Last weekend, I was feeling a bit artistic. Hahaha. So, I went to OneJaya to buy the Polaroid film and head up to Damai Beach. I wasn’t alone okay, I was with Zayy and I do realized that sometimes it does seem sad if it’s just the two of us. But it was fun! Here’s a few photos we took at the Damai Beach;

We saw Damai Central,  since we’ve never been there we decided to make a quick stop that turned into hours off sitting watching the sunsets. ROMANTIC X MEK DUAK?

Then, we went back before Maghrib. I think? My point of view about this place would be, it’s very awesome as they have a cafeteria, a seafood restaurant (the same owner of Lok Thian) and Escobar. The waiter at Escobar said we can order any food from everywhere and asked them to send if over at Escobar. I also told him on what to improve, like at least have tea and coffee, light snacks and such because when he handed me the drinks menu. I was like WTF? I had to tell him that I DON’T EVEN DRINK!

Anyways, I don’t feel like typing anymore.

Later days,

Weekend Get Away – Singapore

Two weeks ago, I had a weekend get-away with Dya to Singapore. Aunty and uncle was there too but aunty was sick, she was asleep when I arrived at the hotel.

The trip was awesome, made me think if i should find a job in Singapore. Being in Kuching after that week, kinda reminds me of why i left Kuching right after I finish my Secondary school. A few of my friends are currently workingthere, they’ve been enjoying their stay and got their fair share of stress.

When I was about to leave Kuching, I only have one thing on my mind and that is……….and when I reached the hotel, it was around 8 – 8.30pm.

So, Dya and I went strolling around Orchard Road. I kept on telling her that I can’t believe that i’m in Singapore after a fucked up week in Kuching.

The one thing on my mind was of course! Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, which I had on my way back to the hotel.

The next day, we went and watched “Lion King The Musical” at the Marina Bay Theater. We spent half of the day there and we had lamb chop for lunch at the Food court.

Gondola Ride inside Marina

We were given a private tour by Jonathan at the LV Island and it’s awesome, you can ask whatever you want 😛

View from the LV island:

Closest thing i get to Merlion

After Day and I tried to cover the whole shopping  mall, we went back to the hotel. Not that we can’t carry anymore shopping bags 😛 but we had dinner with aunty & uncle at the Royal Plaza on Scotts that night and the dessert was nice.

After dinner, we continued our journey to FarEast Plaza and Cinelesuire but we can’t carry on that long. Out of a sudden I feel dizzy when we reached the top of Cineleisure and we both decided to go back to the hotel. I think the headache was caused by being up for more than 12 hours that day. But it was worth it!!

The day that we went back we did a bit of last minute shopping and I had to compare these;

Macarons @ CaneleCanele Macarons: They have 10 t0 eleven flavors but it’s so sweet. Trust me, if I say it’s sweet, it is damn sweet. When I passed by this place, I thought of having sweet desserts with Nora and I bet she’ll like it.

TWG Macarons: They have these tea taste flavor and so I prefer macarons from TWG. So, TAKE NOTE PEOPLE! BUY ME MACARONS FROM TWG ONLY! Anyways, they have around 10 flavors too and they’re all yummy! So please do try when you’re at Singapore. We don’t have TWG in Malaysia. FML.

Sorry for the late post.
